S-ID is a system that detects the location of movable objects accurately in real time. It accurately captures 3-dimensional positional information. The name S-ID comes from using ultrasonic wave (super sonic) to capture information of an individual (ID) position.
- Movement of the object is read into the PC.
- Computer is able to read the location of a movable object by using S-ID, where the transmitter is set on the cart, totes, forklift, etc.
- Captures the movement of the object in a warehouse
-
- When S-ID is used, it detects the movement of an object in distribution centers and factories, enabling an analysis of the movement of an object. It can also be used to show appropriate ways to operate based on such analysis. Below are some examples of how S-ID can be applied:
- - To enhance the production efficiency by studying the movement of the production line.
- - To redesign and improve the efficiency of the layout of the work area.
- Recognition system using ultrasonic waves
- It is a system whereby a transmitter recognizes the difference of interval pulses as it sends ultrasonic waves at fix intervals. Batteries attached to the forklift supply electric power to the forklift. Lithium ion AA batteries are used for the small transmitter installed on the cart. The small transmitter can run continuously for about 100 hours.

It may differ by application specififcation from scene environment.
- Transmitter
- It is a small-sized unit attached to an object for detection.
- Receiver
- As soon as data on the revised time call and mode setup is sent to the transmitter, the receiver receives ultrasonic waves from the transmitter and the object's position is determined.
Obtain the location information where the transmitter receives through ultrasonic waves, while at the same time receiver also sends the time revision data and mode-designated information.
- Controller
- Controller receives the location data from each receiver. In addition, the transmitter ID from a PC is sent to the receiver.
- Sub Controller
- A sub-controller supplies electric power and relays data communication to each receiver unit.
