To enable workers, temporary or permanent, to handle more than 3,000 deliveries of goods twice a year during the peak periods lasting 1-2 months at Novelty Goods, the pick-to-light system was installed. After scanning and reading the printed barcode of the shipping destination, the workers performed the picking operation. The result was shortened pre-picking work, fewer number of workers, and an overall operation improvement at the distribution center.
