The company required a system that can flexibly accommodate the different sizes, weights, and order quantities of the 10,000+ different products they handle.

AI used information such as the number of item types per order, sizes, and shipping frequencies to determine whether to use the sorting system (Put to Light) using error-proofing gate light modules, or order picking (Pick to Light) using HHT. This resulted in high productivity.
Using error-proofing gate light modules not only prevents sorting (Put to Light) errors, but also makes it possible for anyone to perform the sorting (Put to Light) work. Because the gates open toward the rear, the quantity displayed is not hidden, and the gates can be closed at the push of a button.
Solution
Workflow of sorting (Put to Light) using error-proofing gate light modules
A collapsible container arrives. It contains merchandise for which total picking was performed using HHT.
Preparation
On the PC, select the batch. Scan the barcode of the collapsible container. Assign an opening to the recipient.
Work begins
When the JAN of the products inside the collapsible container is scanned, the error-proofing gate at the rear of the corresponding opening opens.
Put the product into the opening.
When the error-proofing gate light module button is pushed down, the gate closes.
Repeat
When the task for the opening is complete, END will appear on the error-proofing gate light module display.
When the error-proofing gate light module button is pressed down, a waybill and packing list are printed.
When the waybill barcode is scanned, the error-proofing gate at the rear of the corresponding opening opens.
Put the waybill into the opening, and push the collapsible container to the back of the rack.
Push down the error-proofing gate light module button to close the gate.
