How long does it take to implement the system after signing a contract?
Normally, about 3 months.
What is the flow up to the start of production and operation?

(Product) Pick to Light System

What is Pick to Light System?
It is a system to improve the efficiency of Picking and Sorting operations.
The system improves the speed and accuracy of picking operations by installing Light Modules on shelves, and the Picking Operator  simply goes to the lighted area on the light module and picks (or sorts) the number of items indicated on the light module.
The Pick to Light System can be linked to an upper level of  WMS to enable real-time monitoring of picking results and shelf inventory data.
I would like to know the features of AIOI’s Light Module for Pick to Light System.
A unique wire-saving network system that can send data and power over two wires allows data communication with PCs and PLCs for easy networking. With over 1,000 models available, we can propose the light module that matches any site. We can also easily integrate new Light Modules into your existing Pick to Light  network as your equirement is  changed due to new items.
Can multiple operators work simultaneously?
We have a model that is equipped with five (5) different types of lamps so that instructions can be given to each worker at the same time. Depending on the combination of devices, up to seven different colors can be used.
Also, multiple workers can work at the same time by dividing the work area into blocks, etc.
We will propose the best system for your on-site operation.
I would like to know how the system will be configured.
PC, Application Software, Controller, Barcode scanner, etc. are required. The configuration will vary depending on customer’s requirement.
What is the initial cost of the system?
Since the scale of the system varies by customer’s requirement, we will quote the total cost individually.
What are the advantages of both wired and wireless types of Light Module?
The wireless type can be freely installed on picking carts, pallets, carts, and cotainers. We will make a proposal according to the contents of the work and the environment of the site.
How many hours does the wireless light module last on a single full charge?
Since electronic paper is used for the display part, the power consumption is low and the basic type lasts more than 100 hours. The charging time varies depending on the model.
In the case of a wireless indicator with 5 LED lamps for simultaneous work by multiple people, the battery life is 20 hours, so the battery needs to be recharged after a day’s work.
How many hours does it take to charge a wireless indicator from empty to fully charged?
About 2 hours if a quick charger is used.. It depends on the model, so please contact us for details.

(Product) SAS / Shutter Assortment System

What are the features of SAS / Shutter Assortment System?
SAS is a light module unit with an open/close shutter function added to the MWU series Light Module. Picking and sorting errors can be greatly reduced. Both front-opening and back-opening types are available.
How can the opening/closing angle, speed, etc. of the shutter be set?
Various settings can be made from a control PC using a dedicated application. 
Open/Close angle, Speed, and Address settings can be made with a touch of a smart phone or Handheld Terminal via NFC communication.
Settings can also be changed by button operation on the light module unit.
If I have an existing AIOI light module, can I add SAS to the same system?
SAS can be added to an existing system. It can also be used in combination with other light model of light module, or PPS, AGV, etc.
How many SAS can be controlled by one controller?
Up to 5,120 SAS light modules per one system. Up to 115 units per EJB (Ethernet Junction Box) Simultaneous open/close operation is limited to 6 units per EJB. When the number of simultaneous open/close units increases, the maximum number will decrease according to the ratio.
Can the shutters be opened manually in an emergency case?
Yes, you can open and close the shutter manually by pressing and holding the S key.
How is it different from an air operated gate system?
Compared to air compressor system, SAS gate requires only a single 2-conductor cable, making it easy to relocate or expand.
It is also easier to maintain because there are fewer problems and the customer can easily replace the gate in the event of an emergency.
Also, the shutter opening angle and speed can be set for each location with a smartphone.

(Product) PPS / Projection Picking System

What are the features of PPS (Projection Picking System🄬)?
PPS is a picking system that applies image processing technology to display text and images of picking and sorting instructions not only on shelves and racks of various shapes and sizes, but also on floor surfaces, and can also issue voice alerts to notify operators errors are occurred.
What types of error-proofing function are available?
There are four types of error-proofing functions “Poka-yoke”.
(1) Camera recognition type:  AR markers with a camera (AR version)
(2) Frame Sensor type (PY version)
(3) 2D Laser scanning: Detects operators hand position with X-Y co-ordinate.
(4) 3D Time of Flight Sensor:  Detects operator’s hand and location area by 3D sensor

There are two main types of projector irradiation methods.
(1)Ultra Short Throw Projector that does not cast a shadow on the operator even when projecting at
          close range
(2)Ceiling to floor irradiation type

What is the projection range of the projector?
Up to 100 inches (2214 mm x 1245 mm) for standard models Depending on the projector model used, even larger areas can be projected.
What is the Poka-Yoke function and how is it effective in preventing errors?
PokaYoke is a function that notifies the operator if a product or part has been mistakenly picked up.
Picking error causes delivery error.  This function is effective in preventing erroneous shipments.
Is it possible to create the layout and design of the projector display in PPS in-house or by myself?
We have a dedicated layout setting tool that allows you to easily set up the layout as you like.
Is it possible to link with existing Pick to Light system, SAS, etc.?
Yes, it is possible by separating the controllers for PPS and DPS.

(Product) Smart Card

How can it be used without batteries?
Since it uses electronic paper, it does not consume electricity for display.
When data is rewritten, it is done by wireless charging from a smartphone or Handheld terminal. “e-Paper” display contents remain semi-permanently until it is rewritten. 
How is the display rewritten?
The display can be rewritten using Near Field Communication (NFC).
How many times can the display be rewritten?
It can be rewritten more than 1 million times.
Will it be damaged?
The plastic construction of the device makes it very strong and rugged, even when dropped or handled roughly.
Is it waterproof and dustproof?
Yes, water-proof and dustproof.   IP56 rating for water and dust resistance
Can barcodes and QR codes be displayed?
Yes, it can.

It can be used in a variety of situations, such as Shjpping label on containers in Distribution Center, as a replacement for manufacturing instruction manuals and Paper Kanban on factory production lines, as well as ID cards and employee ID cards. The introduction of smart cards makes it possible to go completely paperless. For logistics container labels, the elimination of paper labels can reduce misplaced or forgotten labels and reduce waste. In the manufacturing industry, data linkage with smart cards is also  effective to monitor production status.
What kind of Reader/Writer unit can be used for reading/rewriting?
We recommend Reader/Writer unit manufactured by Fujifilm Imaging Systems and AB Circle.  If you use other Reader/Writer, please contact our sales office.

What are the advantages of Smart AI?
Smart AI is a system for facility/equipment operation management, which can be centrally monitored and controlled from a PC or mobile terminal, and is easy to maintain because it is connected via a unique wire-saving network. This functionality can be implemented at low cost, without the need to spend huge amounts of money on capital investment for premises management and security management.
What types of devices can be connected, controlled, and monitored?
Are there any interface requirements to connect to Smart AI?
Various types of control are possible, such as turning on/adjusting the brightness of various lighting equipment, turning on/off air conditioning equipment, refrigerators
and freezers, temperature settings, work monitor cameras, volume control of audio equipment, emergency buttons, security cameras, and automatic door control.  
Equipment from different manufacturers can also be connected, making this system highly versatile.
